I’m a writer, audio producer and literary translator with a PhD in Comparative Literature, and graduate certificates in German Studies and Critical Translation Studies, from the University of Michigan.
My dissertation, Radiopoetics: Sound and Gendered Subjectivity in the Austrian Hörspiel after 1945, was supported by the Fulbright Foundation, Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften (IFK) Wien, and the University of Michigan Institute for Humanities.
Other recent projects include a freeform radio show on WCBN FM in Ann Arbor, and a Substack newsletter of fragmentary essays from life. In 2022, I designed and taught an undergrad course on audio narrative and podcasting and served as a guest juror of the Hörspielpreis der Kriegsblinden, the major prize for German-language audio drama. My English translation of a radio play by Elfriede Jelinek was recently published in Absinthe Magazine, accompanied by a translator’s reflection essay.
My pronouns are she/her.
